Oh my god! This was on my wishlist for ages and I finally got to cross it off – the Golden Steer Steakhouse.
Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The Rat Pack vibes, the cozy booths, the mouth-watering steak, and old-school Vegas all the way – I was dying to go here. Now, let’s talk location. It’s a bit off the Strip, but it’s worth the trip. Make a left turn after the Stratosphere, and you’ll find it next to the Anatomic 50 cocktail bar. But don’t expect much from the exterior – it’s just a square on a storage building, so zero points for that. But when you enter? Ten points! An old-school doorman opens the door for you, and you’re immediately transported to the 50s. Leather booths, Sinatra music, waiters, and busboys in black and white – they nailed it!
And if you’re lucky, like we were, you’ll get led to your booth. We had the Muhammad Ali booth, and I was overly excited! Now, let’s get to the good stuff – the food and drinks. I went with the Midnight Cowboy cocktail – strong but fitting with the environment. And the dinner for two – lobster and steak. Let me tell you, the meat was mouth-watering, and the lobster was luscious.
And a big plus to the table-side salad toss as a first course – it makes you feel special and appreciated. Oh, and they kept addressing me as Miss – loved it! The service was fantastic – water was always refilled, and the staff was so friendly. And we decided to go for a small dessert – banana foster. Again, table-side preparation with fire and lots of “aahs” and “oohs” from our fellow diners. Now, it’s not a cheap meal, but it’s totally worth it. Great quality of food and outstanding service.
As a foodie, I cannot recommend the Golden Steer Steakhouse Las Vegas enough. I’ll definitely be dining there again next time I’m in town. Delicious and funny – this place is a must-visit!
